Review:
This story is about a pet therapy dog named Toby. Toby goes with Miss Charmaine to a hospital where he brightens up children's lives just for a little bit on Wednesdays. The children enjoy his visits just as much as he enjoys the children.
This is a great story that shares more about what a pet therapy dog does and how much they can enhance someone's life, bringing a child happiness when they are away from home and are missing their families and pets. This story is based off of the adult book and movie On Toby's Terms.
Children of all ages will find this book interesting as they go along with Toby on his journey to a hospital.
Summary:
Toby is a big, brown, happy dog. Every week his owner takes
him to visit and comfort children who are in the hospital. Follow Toby the
service dog for a day and see how he makes friends, and makes others happy.
Beautifully illustrated, this simple story sends a positive message about
community and the importance of kindness and being helpful to
others.
